🎬 Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - Complete Movie Review
📖 Plot Summary / කතාවේ සාරාංශය
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) is a wildly entertaining action-adventure comedy that reinvents the beloved 1995 classic for a new generation. The story begins in 1996 when teenager Alex Vreeke receives the mysterious Jumanji board game, which magically transforms into a video game cartridge. Twenty years later, four high school students — Spencer (a nerdy gamer), "Fridge" (a football star), Bethany (a popular girl), and Martha (a shy intellectual) — discover the old game console during detention. When they select their avatars and press start, they are sucked into the lush, dangerous world of Jumanji.
Inside the game, the teens inhabit completely different bodies: Spencer becomes the muscular adventurer Dr. Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson), Fridge becomes the diminutive zoologist Mouse Finbar (Kevin Hart), Bethany becomes the male cartographer Professor Shelly Oberon (Jack Black), and Martha becomes the agile martial artist Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan). They must navigate treacherous jungles, dodge wild animals, and solve puzzles to return the sacred Jaguar's Eye jewel to its rightful place atop a mountain, all while learning to work together and embrace their true selves.
The film cleverly blends high-stakes adventure with heartfelt character development, as each teenager must confront their real-world insecurities through their game avatars. With stunning Hawaiian locations, thrilling action sequences, and laugh-out-loud comedy, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle became a surprise blockbuster that grossed over $962 million worldwide, proving that sometimes the best adventures come from stepping outside your comfort zone.
